POLICIES
Show respect to your instructors and training partners. Students are asked to call the black belt instructor “Professor” and all other instructors “Coach.” Greet instructors and classmates when on the mat. Call other students by their name, or nickname if they prefer.
Do not use any profanity.
No gum, candy, or drinks on the mats.
Shower regularly and use deodorant. Keep fingers and toe nails short and clean to prevent injury to yourself and others. Bring a clean uniform/gi/kimono to each class.
Bow before stepping on and off the mat.
Do not walk on the mat with your shoes. Do not walk outside with bare feet. If you have to go outside, wear sandals or shoes. Do not enter restrooms without shoes.
Do not attend class if you are sick, or have a skin disease. You will not be allowed to train.
Always shake your sparring partner’s hand before and after a sparring/rolling session. Do not seek to harm fellow students physically.
Please silence your phones, and take calls outside.
Do not talk while the instructor is talking. It distracts those who are trying to learn and it is disrespectful to the teacher, as well as other students. No playing in class.
Please pick up your child no later than 15 minutes after class ends.
